I mentioned in my last blog post that I went to Modena for a day and thought it’d be better to talk about it separately (mostly because it means I can share more pictures, hah).

Modena is only a 30-minute train ride from Bologna and a cheap one too! It’s a smaller city but very pretty, especially on a sunny day. We went there on a Monday and it was basically empty of tourists and not crowded at all.

My friend looked up some of the sights and made a route on Google Maps for us. Modena is small enough that you can get around by foot super easy, way quicker than in Rome which we had learned the hard way two days before…

She also found a restaurant for us which turned out to be a tiny one on the first floor that only serves like five meals but the food there was SO good. I was so happy my friend speaks Italian because no one there spoke English!

See you soon ❤
